텍사스의 맛(Taste of Texas)에서 오랜 친구 가와사키 아키히로 씨와 그의 멋진 가족을 대접할 수 있어서 정말 즐거운 시간이었습니다. 아키히로 씨가 2012년에 혼자 휴스턴으로 처음 이사 왔을 때, 제가 함께 짐을 옮기고 일본에 계신 아내를 위해 집을 준비하던 기억이 아직도 생생합니다. 그 후로 가족이 점점 커가는 모습을 보면서, 쌍둥이가 태어났다는 기쁜 소식을 들었을 때는 저도 정말 행복했습니다. 1년 넘게 못 보다가 다시 만나니, 이렇게 긍정적이고 겸손하며 따뜻한 사람들과 친구라는 게 얼마나 감사한 일인지 새삼 느꼈습니다. 그들은 제게 단순한 친구가 아니라 진정으로 좋은 사람들입니다. 아키히로 씨 같은 훌륭한 사람의 반이라도 닮을 수 있다면 제 인생은 충분히 잘 살고 있다고 생각할 겁니다. 앞으로도 건강과 행복, 그리고 좋은 추억들이 함께하길 바랍니다. テイスト・オブ・テキサスで、長年の友人である川崎明宏さんとご家族にご馳走できて本当に嬉しかったです。 明宏さんが2012年に一人でヒューストンに引っ越してきた時、私は引っ越しの手伝いをしたり、日本にいた奥様のために家を整えたりしたことを今でもよく覚えています。 その後、ご家族が増えて、双子が生まれたという素晴らしいニュースを聞いたときは、本当に嬉しかったです。 一年以上ぶりに再会して、彼らのようにポジティブで謙虚で優しい人たちと友人でいられることに改めて感謝しました。 彼らは私にとって、ただの友人ではなく、本当に素晴らしい人たちです。 明宏さんのような人の半分でもなれたら、私は十分幸せな人生を送っていると思います。 これからも健康と幸せ、そして素敵な思い出が続きますように。

Tonight is my last night in Korea. It’s hard to Tonight is my last night in Korea. It’s hard to put into words how much this place has meant to me. Korea didn’t just give me beautiful views, amazing food, or late nights filled with laughter and adventure — it gave me something deeper. It gave me healing. It gave me clarity. It gave me a piece of myself I didn’t know I’d lost. I came here with some weight on my heart, and somehow through every walk, every conversation, every quiet moment with people who truly cared, I’ve found myself again. I’ve felt real connection. I’ve remembered who I am and who I want to be. Tomorrow, I’m off to Japan for one more week of exploring. But I already know — a big part of me will always remain here in Korea. To those who made this trip unforgettable… thank you. I’ll be back.
